Just in time for Spring & Easter, this is an adorable vintage Westmoreland round covered candy dish in the form of a baby chick atop a pile of eggs in a basket:
- Milk glass hand painted in a spectrum of pastel colors — yellow chick, green grass, light green/blue/yellow/pink/orange eggs & golden caramel basket
- Has a glossy finish, including carnival glass-like iridescence to basket
- Approx. 5.5” H x 6.5” D, including lid
- Mid-century U.S. production ca. 1950s
- Bears the impressed Westmoreland Glass mark & is signed by artist L. Plues
- No cracks, chips or repairs that I can see or feel; chick is missing one glass eye & there is some wear from use to iridescence on part of inside of dish (of course not visible when lid is on)
