Large framed Vintage Chateau Illustration Framed. Castle of St Germain en Laye. This lithograph was bought framed and originally dates from 1861. It is part of Paris in Its Splendor or Paris dans sa splendor a monumental work carried out by Henri CHARPENTIER, publisher NANTAIS, with the assistance of the best lithographers of the moment, such CHAPUY, CICERI, Ph BENOIST in honor of the great works of Baron HAUSSMANN. The lithograph depicts the former royal chateau of the sea name located about 19 km outside of Paris in a surrounding suburb/town called yveslines. There is some wear to this piece and it’s frame but, I think given it’s age - it is in excellent condition. This is a really special piece!
