Set of 2 Lackland Air Force Base, Texas San Antonio Basic Military Training BMT Boot camp Post cards. I purchased these 2 postcards in 1989 while I was in Air Force Basic Training at Lackland, bought from the AAFES Troop Store/Shoppette, but never wrote on them or mail them out. One depicts the obstacle course rope wall. See the MTI's top left, one in OD green fatigues and the other in newly issued BDU's. During this time in 1989, the AF was transitioning to the battle dress uniform (BDU) from the Vietnam era green fatigues. The other postcard depicts the parade field during a graduation ceremony with a drill team in formation. These postcards are a pretty cool rendering of the time period during Basic training.
